Why create a V2 (version 2) of our iconic MT500 trousers?

The MT500 trousers have been improved. The objective was initially to reduce the carbon footprint of the trousers (see details below). Then, we used your reviews to improve the functional features. Thanks for sharing!We have also worked on the durability of these trousers:- more durable COATS yarns used for the assemblies- double stitching at the rear rise for more durability.

ECO-DESIGN: what actions did we take on the black model?

The dyeing of the components requires a lot of water and also produces waste water. To reduce this carbon footprint, the reinforcements of the black trousers (model code 8758761) use a bulk dyeing process called ""dope dyeing"" which incorporates the colour pigments from the yarn manufacturing process onwards, and do not use dye baths.This process allows us to reduce the CO2 emissions of the trousers by 13%.

Quick tip: different-coloured markers help you put the right and left lower legs back in place quickly.

Hand pocket opening direction

We have deliberately designed the sealing direction of the hand pockets as downwards.As such, the zip's slider does not irritate you when you tighten the waist belt of your backpack, and your things stay very safe in your pockets!

Hybrid structure

Trousers designed with 2 different components:- a durable fabric (207 g/m2) on the areas that need protection from abrasion (seat, bottom of the leg at the front). This fabric also has stretch properties. This gives you plenty of freedom of movement.- a light and breathable fabric (150 g/m2) on the rest of the trousers.

What is the water repellent feature of the component?

These trousers have water-repellent zones(lower leg at the front & seat)that prevent water from getting inside the fabric. Please note, this does not mean WATERPROOF.The water repellent property slows down the penetration of water, the trousers don't get wet too fast, but doesn't keep you dry under steady rain. To keep you dry, you need to add a pair of over-trousers(ref 8504646). The water-repellent properties can be reactivated by warming the trousers in a tumble dryer at low heat for 10 minutes.

Fitted cut and use of stretch fabric in the right areas guarantees high comfort levels when moving around.Choose your usual size.Inside leg length of 80.8 cm in size 10 (M)Width at the bottom of the trousers: 20.1 cm in size 10 (M).
