We chose 18/8 (304) stainless steel because it combines food safety and long-term resistance. It does not oxidise and prevents corrosion. It is very resistant and can be used with all types of utensils (including metal).
For the TREK500 range, we have chosen not to use a non-stick coating in order to have a very simple product that is resistant to all conditions of use and washing. No need to wonder how to carry or wash it without damaging it!
Polyamide (cutlery), polypropylene (plate, handle) and Tritan (lid) were chosen because they are lightweight and very resistant to heat (at least 100°C), shocks and deformation. Be careful not to place the plastic parts in direct contact with a flame.
Our cook sets are compatible with all types of fires (wood, gas, induction, etc.). The saucepan has a patented 2-part folding handle that locks the lid during transport. The lid fits the saucepan, heats food faster and also serves as a strainer. The bowl has a structured design that reduces heat transfer and can hold a gas cartridge (230 g screw cartridge) for transportation. The cutlery folds for easy storage.
The items are stored inside the cook set. First the bowl then the cutlery. The lid is then placed and locked by the folding handle. The bowl and cutlery are also available for sale individually.
Before the first use, rinse all the items 3 times with clean water. All the elements can be washed in a dishwasher and, when used outdoors, they can be washed with soapy water or with water and river sand!
Never heat your saucepans empty, as this will deform and damage them. When using with a wood fire, make sure that the flames do not directly touch the plastic parts. Close your handle properly before using the cook set on the fire. In any case, prevent the flames from rising too high and reaching the lid, as it could melt.
Our products and materials meet the food contact standards in force. They do not contain Bisphenol A (BPA) in accordance with the French regulations in force.

Great value.
Nice set for one person.
I have only used this to boil water for dehydrated food and tea, etc, but its wide base allows water to heat up quickly. The dish inside is a good size for food and its ridged outside keeps your hands from burning. The handle arrangement is very clever and easy to use, as is the lid through which you can strain water if cooking pasta or rice. Also big enough inside for a small gas canister, or you can keep your stove and lighter etc in it. And it all comes in a nice drawstring bag to keep it tidy.
