This hybrid bike is suitable for mid- and low-intensity rides and will be very smooth and comfortable. If you go for high-intensity rides, like on a climb or a steep slope, the chain will misalign with the cassette, and you will get stuck in the middle of the climbing. Also, it is unsuitable for long rides above 20 km, and the same issue happened again.
I believe the bicycle I received was not prepped well by the mechanic before I received it. The hydraulic brakes started to fail after the first month. For some reason the hydraulic brake lever pressure became weak and wasn’t stopping the bike on time. Second incident happened when I pumped the tires up for the first time, the tube blew out and the psi was barely even at the recommended level. I had to send the bike for repairs just a few months after riding during the weekends. The worst part of the bicycle is the drivetrain. The chain kept dropping off due to poor derailleur adjustment. Even the plastic piece next to the crank that is supposed to stop the chain from flying off broke and I had to remove it. With the help of YouTube, I had to figure out how to adjust the limit screws and barrel adjuster. I guess after so much trouble, it is sort of working well for me. But for the original price, it’s not worth the time, effort and money. Not to mention the right grip appears to be reused because it was poorly cut to accommodate something that I assume is for a side mirror. One good takeaway is that I got to learn how to make basic repairs on my bike.
No response from after sales for missing cable lock after many attempts. Quite frustrating after weeks of no reply.Did not expect such services from Decathlon.
