Jams up without lubrication on first use

On first use rotated reasonably freely, however on second use was very stiff and the rope just slid over the pulley rather than spinning it. The pulley should be self lubricating but I had to use some “micro oil” (used for fishing reels and model cars etc) to get it spinning again. Since then has rotated with no problem. Used with 6mm rope to make a home gym cable machine.
