A fantastic firesteel

I use these fire steels for both my Scout Group and also on my Bushcraft courses. They are dependable and easy to use with minimal help. I tend to show people to use the straight edge burr for striking and use the jagged end for rubbing wood / branches for tinder. I make my own steels for personal use but I always have one of these on my person for a back up.

Not the easiest flint and steel I've ever used!

Bought for scouting. My cub found it difficult to use, although we have another set from somewhere else he can use

Great for the price

Once I did the initial strike to clear of the covering it sparked perfectly. My tinder of choice is cotton wool which caught first time. It also lit my gas stove on first strike. Perhaps I have a newer refined version than the previous reviews
