It looks as sharp as it does in the photos. But there are a few issues and worries: — the zippers look finicky and cheap, even though they’re genuine YKK. The pull tabs are too small and a traditional tab with zipper pulls would’ve been more practical and trustworthy. I’ve seen this new design on a lot of newer Decathlon products and do not like it at all. — it’s water repellent. But not really waterproof for long runs in heavy rain. — the vents are located where the pockets would normally be. Higher up under the armpit would’ve been a lot more effective, practical, and comfortable. — I would’ve preferred a loose waist with a drawstring. I don’t particularly like tighter waist mainly because I wear my running belt (which can become bulky in the winter with gloves and beanie shoved in it) UNDER my jacket. The looser waist helps with air circulation too. Shame. — the “bright tomato” is more of a deep orange than light red. Pretty nice, actually. — lack of pockets is not a major issue. This is a light technical jacket for running. Not casual/hiking wear, if that’s what you are looking for. — it is a bit overpriced for what is essentially a good soft-shell top layer. At £70, it’s premium brand territory almost. — it’s packable. But not that much!! It’s the size of a bulky pair of ski gloves once rolled! OK if you have a small backpack. Not that great if want to carry it in/on your trail run belt. RECOMMENDED only if you are specifically looking for a running/jogging jacket. For casual walks and hikes, look elsewhere.
