Flip-flops are the iconic surfer footwear. As well as being the symbol of a sunny surfing lifestyle, they are also the perfect footwear for comfort before and after sessions: simple, practical, easy care and above all easy to put on and take off, even with wet feet, without having to use your hands when they are already occupied with your equipment!
At OLAIAN, we design our flip-flops taking inspiration from the needs and requirements of surfers, so that they can suit the vast majority. Product designed by our surfer teams in Hendaye (France). The OLAIAN global design centre is located on the banks of the Bidassoa in Hendaye. This allows us to design products in contact with users and in the marine environment.
We have designed these flip-flops for very occasional or seasonal use, for surfers walking to spots over short distances (<3 km a day) that are “easily” accessible: flat land and established paths.
Product tested by our teams, in collaboration with external testers, in real-life conditions.

The straps at the back are sited too close to the heel so every time you walk you step on the part of the strap just before it enters the sole. The back part is simply too narrow to accommodate the straps. Hugely uncomfortable and I don’t have wide feet.
