You will appreciate this waterproof and warm 3-in-1 jacket because it can be adapted to cope with rain and provide warmth depending on the weather.
With its “3-in-1” system, the jacket is ideal for cold conditions (down to 0°C) as well as hot weather trips, as you can leave the inner layer at home, taking only the rain coat. You can also wear the inner fleece on its own as a mid-layer over a T-shirt. With just one jacket, you therefore get 3 options!
The waterproofness of a fabric, provided by a coating or membrane, is measured in Schmerbers or mm H2O (pressure exerted by a column of water). The higher this number, the more waterproof the fabric.
Your jacket is waterproof thanks to its fully taped seams. Waterproof tape is added to the seams inside the garment to make them watertight so that water cannot enter through the more vulnerable areas.
We test our fabrics in the laboratory on various criteria, including abrasion resistance to reproduce the friction of backpack straps. We conduct a standardised Martindale test, which rubs the jacket’s fabric against another fabric. The aim is to measure the point at which the product starts to become worn & the pilling begins. The jacket passes the test easily as it reaches 20,000 cycles on the Martindale, above the average for other jackets on the market
A jacket's waterproof properties are not derived solely from its components: the technique used to assemble the different pieces is also an evaluation criterion. Whether it's thermo-sealed or sewn and then taped, the overall waterproofness of your jacket is assessed in a shower test, developed by Decathlon, which simulates downpours of varying intensities. We know, therefore, that this TRAVEL 100 waterproof jacket will protect you from a downpour i.e. 12 cm of rain in 2 hours.
The waterproofing of a fabric by a coating or a membrane is measured in Schmerbers or H20 mm (pressure of a water column). The higher this number, the more waterproof the fabric.

My favourite jacket to use on a day-to-day and on hiking/camping trips, love the hoodie, the waterproofness, tho with the fleece inside hard to fit another layer of a sweater making it a bit too snug but at least keeps you warm in the cold. 9/10 recommend.
wind and waterproof. kept me dry in a down poor and shell dried quickly afterwards
Wind and waterproof jacket with a thin removable fleece to keep the chill off on cooler days but need to layer up underneath when it drops to freezing if just going for a stroll with the dogs. 0 degree rating is most probably accurate for more strenuous walking or hiking
