The high density of the fleece fabric is able to trap maximum air. The result is that the layer of air acts as insulation to keep you warm. Added to this are the windproof effect and the cuffs and hood to prevent snow from getting in. You won't get cold!
Thanks to the side inserts and the back opening, this fleece ensures excellent moisture transfer and keeps you dry during exercise. Its quick-drying polyester present under the arms, with an RET index of 4.593, optimises perspiration wicking while providing thermal insulation.
The breathability of a fabric is measured by its evaporative resistance RET (ISO 11092 standard): The lower it is, the more breathable the fabric. Examples: RET< 9 (very breathable), 9 < RET < 12 (breathable), RET > 20 (low breathability). The fabric under the arms displays an RET index of 4.593.
Remember, water repellent doesn't mean waterproof. In light rain, water slides off a water-repellent fabric without being absorbed. It therefore remains light and breathable. On this fleece, the hood, shoulders and sleeves are water repellent. Perfect for keeping your upper body dry.
To revive the water repellent properties of your fleece, apply a water repellency reactivator spray (ref 8800346). Spray it evenly and spread it using a clean cloth. After a few hours of drying, your garment is ready for new outdoor adventures!
To keep your personal belongings handy, this fleece has two zip-fastened pockets. The hood can also be stored in a specially-designed pocket.
To clean your fleece jacket in a washing machine, select a synthetic cycle at 30°C. Turn it inside out and make sure the pockets are done up. Limit the spin cycle to 1000 rpm to avoid damaging the fabric. Do not tumble dry.
