Composition
Main fabric
- 100% Polyester
Main lining
- 100% Polyester
Membrane
- 100% Polyurethane
Waterproofing
- 15,000 mm Schmerber membraned 2-layer fabric - Heavy rain corresponds to a flow of 100 l/m2/h - (= rainfall of 100 mm/h) - The rainfall simulator reproduces these conditions for 3 hours. - Component is resistant to water pressure of 15 000 mm - Water-repellent components (water runs off the fabric). - 100% taped seams. - Central opening features a flap with a drainage channel for optimal waterproofing
Breathability
RET <12: very breathable. To find out whether a fabric is breathable, we measure its evaporative resistance, or RET, (test based on the ISO 11092 standard). It is its ability to allow the water vapour produced by the body during exercise to escape.
Sleeves
The jacket has 2 cuffs on each arm to limit water ingress. They can be adjusted with a rip-tab, letting you easily put on a pair of mittens or gloves over the first cuff, then tighten the sleeve cuff above
Hood adjustments
It has 2 adjustable features: - an adjustment around the head to customise the hood in relation to the depth of the user’s face - an adjustment around the neck to press the hood against the face and limit the entry of air and water. The visor also keeps your face well protected from water trickling down. The hood can be stored in the collar.
The details providing great comfort
The collar is lined with fleece for increased comfort. The pockets are also lined with fleece to warm them up when sailing.
Resistance to wear
Injected plastic central zip resistant to salt oxidation. Outer fabric having good resistance to wear
How to reactivate the anorak’s water repellency step 1: before washing
Close all zips and flaps and remove any parts of the clothing that cannot be washed. Also remember to loosen the straps and elastic parts and empty the pockets. Then turn the clothing inside out to wash it.
How to reactivate the anorak’s water repellency step 2: washing
You can wash your jacket on a synthetic cycle at 30° or 40°C with your usual detergent. Do not use fabric conditioner, which could damage the existing performance of the garment, or bleach. Also take care not to bend your jacket too much when you place it in the washing machine and do not overload your machine. Very important: select a thorough rinse or double rinse to completely remove all detergent residue.
How to reactivate the anorak’s water repellency step 3: drying
Drying is a crucial phase in reactivating the water repellent treatment. We recommend that you lay your jacket flat on a clothes rack and leave it out to dry in the open. Caution: never dry your jacket directly on a radiator. Then place them in the tumble dryer on a short synthetics cycle, i.e. 10 to 15 minutes, before turning it back the right way round.
How to reactivate the anorak’s water repellency
If, despite this procedure of washing and thorough rinsing followed by gentle drying in a tumble dryer, the drops of water no longer run off the surface of your jacket, we recommend that you \"re-waterproof\" it using a spray sold in our stores.
Product Reviews

Good fit, good features and looks smart and well made. Waterproof so far in some showers.
An excellent basic sailing jacket that performed well in recent stormy weather in the Scottish Western Isles. Perfect for the occasional sailor!
I waited for this as the new version now doesn't have a tuckaway for the hood, and that was really important to me. Its a really great jacket with a lovely high collar and cinchable hood. brilliant in heavy rain and im looking forward to getting out in harsh sailing weather. When fully done up it really is very effective against water ingress, and i love wearing it.
