They are very suitable for Tai Chi also.
I tried them on after buying - big mistake - and was immediately aware of something catching my arch in both shoes. The elastic on the insides has not been trimmed down, but the excess left, and finished with something to make the edge hard - I have trimmed both off shoes with scissors. I can understand not wanting the elastic to fray, but leaving the elastic so big and then making the edge hard right in the arch is terrible design. I have never taken scissors to something brand new so fast.
