Adjustment wheel.

The adjustment wheel plays a key role in keeping your child's helmet secure. This system can be easily and precisely adjusted at any time using the easily accessible dial that you can even use with skiing gloves. It also provides comfort and maximum safety. Turn the dial to the right to tighten and to the left to loosen.

ABS structure.

Standard EN 1077:2007 is a European standard that applies to helmets used for cranial protection during downhill skiing and snowboarding. This standard tests the ability to absorb shocks and resistance to penetration. There are 2 categories: - Class A: protects the top and back of the head, as well as the ears and the side of the head. - Class B: Protects the top and back of the head but does not cover the ears.

How do you choose the right size, and have your child try on the helmet?

Measure their head circumference (from the middle of the forehead and on top of the ears) and choose the right size. When trying it on, there should be no points of discomfort. If it is visor-less, have the helmet tried on with the mask: there should be no gap between the two.

Adjust the helmet once you have the right size.

For their safety, the ski helmet must be properly fitted: - The head circumference must be adjusted using the tightening wheel. - The chinstrap must be properly adjusted. You should be able to pass two fingers between the strap and the skin. If it is not properly fitted, the helmet will offer less protection.

Compatibility with prescription glasses.

The pleasure of skiing should be accessible to all, including young wearers of prescription glasses. Wedze has designed a helmet with a visor, more practical to use than an "over glasses (OTG)" ski mask. Due to issues with glasses size, some models remain incompatible. Head to your Decathlon store to try helmets on your child with their glasses.

Features of the visor helmet.

Visor helmets are extremely comfortable and practical to use. However, we recommend them for young skiers who ski at moderate speed. They are less windproof than a ski mask, which perfectly moulds to the nose and face. If your child skis very fast, air can get in and it can be unpleasant.

Changing visor.

The original S2 visor is available for purchase from our website. There is no S1 visor (bad weather) for this helmet.

A helmet keeps you warm: you don't need to wear a hat underneath – in fact, it’s best not to.

Don’t add a hat, which will create a gap between the head and the helmet and reduce the protection. If necessary, choose a very thin balaclava designed for this purpose. Avoid adding a camera which will compromise the wearer’s safety; The standard does not take into account any elements added to the helmet. "
