The shin pad is held in place by the ankle support as well as by the adjustable elastic band.
Ankle support
The ankle guard on this shin guard is supportive, guaranteeing the shin guard stays on your leg. Optimises comfort around your ankle bones.
Design
Our design team developed these shin pads by observing young footballers on the pitch, as they trained or played matches. Tackles are part of the game, so to better protect you, our football designers created these shin pads with a plastic shell paired with a shock-absorbing foam pad for impact protection. They meet European standard 13061 which defines shock absorption and the shell\'s level of resistance.

These are supposed to be for body size 130-150. They don't even fit a smaller child. Other reviews have said this, and I have sized up. It's still too small. I can't imagine they fit any child taller than 130 cm. Now I need to return, lose the shipping fee and need to buy somewhere else. Waste of time.
