Description

Intermediate/advanced riders will quickly get to grips with this fish surfboard, which is ideal for small-to-medium-sized waves.

Suitability

This fish surfboard with a twin set-up is the perfect board for imperfect waves up to 1.50m (shoulder height). Its volume guarantees enough lift for an easy take-off even when the wave is not hollow. If conditions become more powerful, the board has a better contact with the waves.

Dimensions

6’1 X 211/2" X 2 5/8" (cm ) 185.4 X 54.6 X 6.3 Volume 41 L Weight: 3.6 kg +/- 100g without fins surfer between 70 and 95 kg 5’8" x 20 5/8" x 2 3/8" (cm) 173 x 52 x 6 Volume 33 L Weight: 3 kg +/- 100 g without fins surfer between 50 and 80 kg

Construction

Handmade in laminated epoxy resin with a slatted stringer for greater durability. EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) foam base 30 kg/m3. Top: 3 fibreglass layers (6 oz, 6 oz and 4 oz) Bottom: 2 fibreglass layers (6 oz and 4 oz) on the back, 1 layer (6 oz) on the front Rails: 2 fibreglass layers (6 oz) Tail: 2 fibreglass layers (6oz and 4oz) 3mm Paulownia wood stringer.

Shape

This board was co-created with our community of ambassadors and with Jeremy Smith (shaper from the Basque Country, France). The fish has a twin fin set-up for more relaxed surfing with sweeping turns. The double concave under the back foot and single concave under the front foot make it easier to transition from rail to rail.

What are the advantages of an EPS/EPOXY board?

We chose this type of construction for our surfboards, because it offers numerous advantages. -The epoxy resin is more resistant to impacts/dents than polyester resin, which makes the board more durable. The board will also be more responsive and capable of generating more speed. - EPS (expanded polystyrene) foam floats better, so for the same volume you have more buoyancy than a polyester/polyurethane board.

Fin assembly

Only use ailerons with a FUTURES base. Fins supplied separately and are available to purchase (model code 8959215) on our website and in some stores.

Protective cover

When you buy online, the surfboard is packaged in a Flexi Hex® honeycomb case in a strong cardboard box. There’s no more plastic packaging. Clever! The case can be reused in your surf bag to protect it when you’re on the move.
