UV protection standards for hats are very specific. The fabric must of course be anti-UV (UPF index greater than 50), but this is not enough to claim the finished product is anti-UV. The hat must also have a wide brim which fully protects the face and the neck (7cm). The TRAVEL 100 hat meets these requirements so you can go hiking with complete peace of mind: you will be perfectly protected!
The soft cord is comfortable. It keeps the hat in place even in windy conditions.
We decided to make this hat with mostly cotton blended with polyester to increase its breathability. Can you expand on this a little ?

Was so excited to try this hat as someone with sensitive skin and eyes, especially as it said spf50+. It looks great and fits really well especially for a bigger head. The brim is a lovely thick material but the material on the top of the hat is so thin and when you hold it up to the light its see through so there's no way you could get spf protection on the top of your head. Decathlon please please please make the material thicker on the top and then you would be fully protected from the sun!
