Foot pocket
The part of the fin where the foot is placed. It can be completely closed, like in full-foot fins, or open with an adjustable strap, like in adjustable fins.
Blade
The flat part of the fin that helps to generate the thrust. The longer and/or harder the blade, the more powerful the fins. The shorter and/or more flexible the blade, the less powerful the fins.
The mares channel thrust technology
The Mares design is inspired by marine mammals. The Channel Thrust technology maximises channelling and displaces more water than other fins of the same size. The result is more thrust for the same effort.

I highly recommend these :)
Have used mares fins for open water diving for years and as I needed some new pool fins I thought I would give these a try as they was very well priced. So far warm them 4 times and very happy with fit and speed I can get from them.
