Wind resistance

We test all our tents in a wind tunnel on a turntable where we can expose each side of the tent to the wind.To test its wind resistance, the tent must be properly pitched, taut but not stretched, with all the guy ropes in position around the tent. It should remain habitable at wind speeds of 65km/h, measured near ground level. Our tents are certified by the CSTB independent laboratory in Nantes.

Ventilation and condensation prevention

Bedroom with mosquito screen for ventilation and water-repellent fabric to protect from condensation and draughts. There are 2 large top ventilation areas that you can close using a Velcro strip. To reduce condensation inside your tent, it must be properly pitched, with the fabric kept taut without being over-stretched. Two-way zips on the doors to keep them open. The use of ventilation and good air circulation limits humidity inside your tent

Seasons

3-season tent: your tent will protect you from the harsh weather conditions you can encounter in the spring, summer or autumn. It will withstand light snowfall but is not designed to withstand heavy loads that would weigh on the structure. In case of snow, remember to shake your tent regularly in order to bring down any snow that has accumulated to avoid putting too much weight on the structure of your tent.

Repairs and after-sales service

As designers, we care about the durability of our products, which is why all our tents are designed to be repairable. You will find the detachable parts (poles, bedroom, etc.) in store or in the workshop of your local Decathlon, or on the website. If you have a problem, don't hesitate to have your tent looked at in your local Decathlon store.Repair kit (ferrule, patch): 20 g

Durability

Your tent is designed for itinerant bivouacking, it is therefore not designed for static use in the sun.We recommend that you avoid leaving it in the sun as the ultra-light fabrics can be sensitive to UV light, that damages them.

Great, with groundsheet you can put up in rain!

Used it for a week of Wild BiKamping from London to Exeter at end of Oct 2020. Easy to put up and take down. If you buy the extra groundsheet you can put the poles in the groundsheet, then the flysheet and then the inner. This allows you to put it up/take it down in torrential rain, which I had for several days. This also allowed me to take down the inner and use the shelter to rearrange my bike trailer contents out of the rain. Also if you just use the groundsheet and the flysheet you can make a quick and light shelter, useful perhaps for getting changed after outside sports, like cross country running for example.

Good size but needs dry for assembly

I've bought this tent on a whim because my old cheap one was finally gone, and this one is LIGHT. It's lightness is its key strength, and none of its few downsides are a match against that. Assembly take a bit of practice--even for someone who's put up many tents in the past--but after that is easy. The tent has some nice touches, such as airing holes and bag space with floor and side protection. Very nice. The main downside is that you have to put up the inside tent and floor BEFORE the outside tent. If it rains heavily, you have a real problem, because the inside is flooded before you put the cover over. I haven't experimented to see whether you can somehow "work under the hood" but it would be difficult I think. So our first trip started a little bit more wet than I would have liked, but after a clean-up everything was good. Two side doors are useful, you don't have to climb over everyone.

Pole broke and no replacement available

Bought this tent last year for a camping trip. A bit complicated to mount (with the different options with/without flysheet) and instructions make very little sense but we managed. We camped for a few weeks in two different spots with both bedroom and flysheet - so we mounted and folded the tent a total of 2 times. At some point, not sure if because of the wind or what, one of the pole bent and broke. It was ok as it didn't tear the fabric and we used one of the little plastic thingy to put over the crack. We thought we could buy spare poles. But they have been out of stock for a long time and wondering if they have been discontinued altogether. Now, a year later we're about to go on a new trip and we can't find the spare poles anywhere. It was a good tent but if it lasts only one trip (mounted and folded twice only), then it's very poor value for money. We're now stuck with this tent and no way to fix it or have to buy a whole new tent?
