What if my mask is fogging up?

If it fogs up over your eyes, we recommend repeating the 4 steps set out above, properly repositioning your Easybreath mask, and checking that the size of your Easybreath is correctly fitted to your face. If the issue continues, do not use the mask and contact your closest Decathlon store.

Can i dive with my easybreath 500?

The Easybreath 500 is not adaptable for diving. The air volume in this snorkelling mask is greater than that of other traditional diving masks. From just 1 m down, the pressure of the mask becomes very uncomfortable on your face. Furthermore, while freediving, it is necessary to decompress. With the Subea Easybreath mask, this is impossible because the nose is inaccessible.

What is the size of the easybreath mask in the fins and easybreath mask kit?

If you choose a fin size between 36/37 and 40/41, the mask is delivered in size S/M, for a size between 42/43 and 46/47, the mask is delivered in size M/L. The Easybreath is available in 3 sizes which cover 90% of faces. For kids aged 6 to 10 choose, the size XS. From 10-year-olds and small faces opt for size S/M. For bigger faces use M/L.

Check your easybreath mask before use

Before each use, check your Easybreath and, in particular, your child\'s Easybreath. - Grasp the snorkel in your hand and move it from left to right. The ball bearing should follow the movement without restriction. - Check that the seal is present and in the correct position - Check that all of the valves are present, and that they\'re free of deformation and are flush against their support - The skirt should perfectly fit to the mask - Never use the mask without the snorkel

Can i wear glasses with my easybreath mask?

Most spectacle frames will prevent the mask from sealing properly by distorting the mask skirt. It is also complicated to use the Easybreath mask with glasses. Subea designed corrective lenses that are attached to the inside of the mask with a suction cup. You can choose the correction of each glass screen (from -1 to -6) and put it together the way you like it.

How does the dry-top system stop water from entering?

It was developed to stop water from getting into the snorkel when there is choppy water, small waves on the surface or when the user leans their head too far forward to observe the seabed. There is a float in the snorkel that rises when you dive and blocks the tube. After diving, remember to blow out when returning to the surface to make sure that the float descends.

              Safety warning

              • This product is designed exclusively for the practice of snorkeling, on the surface. • For your safety learn to use this equipment correctly before you use the product by reading the enclosed instructions. • Read user manual prior to use and follow all warnings and instructions. • Breathing through a snorkel is more demanding than simply swimming. If you feel tired, short of air or dizzy, remove your mask and get out of the water. • Do not use this product if you have any ongoing respiratory or cardiovascular issues including but not limited to chest infection, asthma, high/raised blood pressure (hypertension), heart disease or angina etc. If you have any doubts or questions relating to this please check with your medical practitioner. • Do not use alone. Always go snorkeling with a buddy. • Modifying this product in any way can cause potential danger to life. • Practicing putting the mask on and taking it off several times before using it could possibly help prevent injuries and deaths. • Do keep in mind how far you have swum and keep in mind the currents; the return journey to shore may be exhausting. • Do not leave unsupervised within the reach of children. • Failure to follow safety instructions can result in serious injury, drowning or death.

Why choose easybreath over a traditional valve mask?

The Easybreath will be the preferred choice for those who have reservations about diving with a snorkel in their mouth or going deep. The Easybreath snorkelling mask is ideal for shallow aquatic activities. It allows natural nose-mouth breathing and has a large field of vision.

              Fins

The fin’s shoe pocket can be completely closed, like in full-foot fins, or open with an adjustable strap, like in adjustable fins. The flat part of the palm, called the blade, is short to provide you power in your movements. A little tip: both fins can be clipped together (clips on the toe of each fin) to make carrying easier.

              What is the easybreath?

The Decathlon Easybreath 500 mask is the second generation full-face snorkelling mask created by Decathlon. It has the same characteristics as the old model: 180° vision, anti-fog, easy to put on, etc. and we have made the mask more robust, the skirt more comfortable, and breathing easier with the effort on breathing reduced by 20%. It is also equipped with a new invention: the \"dry-top-release\". You will no longer have your breathing interrupted when a wave washes over.

Can i wear the easybreath 500 if i have a beard?

Beard hair prevents good contact between your skin and the skirt of the mask. The waterproof design cannot be guaranteed for users that have a beard. To guarantee a watertight seal, it is best to shave. Alternatively, using a thick balm such as Vaseline can also be a solution.

What precautions should i take with my easybreath 500 mask?

Pay attention to sand! Avoid letting your full-face snorkelling Easybreath 500 mask come into contact with sand as this can scratch the lens of the mask. If sand is present, do not use force to clip the snorkel into place. Rinse the snorkel and mask before connecting them. Sand can also clog the float valve inside the snorkel. Rinse the snorkel vigorously or use a key that you can fit through the rear vents of the snorkel to unblock the float valve, then rinse the snorkel.

              Snorkelling safety

Snorkelling is an easy and fun activity for all the family! Breathing through a snorkel is more physically demanding than regular swimming. If you feel tired, short of breath or dizzy, remove your mask and get out of the water. Do not use this product if you have cardiovascular or respiratory problems (lung infection, angina, asthma, hypertension, heart disease, etc.). If in doubt, consult your doctor.

              How does the easybreath work?

The fresh air is projected onto the glass before reaching the nose or mouth via the nasal valves. The constant supply of fresh air reduces the amount of fogging up in the mask. The air packed with moisture and CO2 is evacuated through channels located inside the mask\'s rim, which leads this air into the snorkel. The air is constantly renewed. The flow of air going in and out are separated to avoid mixing in polluted air and allowing you to breathe fresh air. Licensed under Ocean Reef Group

              Snorkel mask

Very good visibility in mask, easy to use, no water leak one straps adjusted

              Great Snorkelling Mask

I have never been snorkelling before, so I was unsure what type of mask to use. Having a well trimmed beard & moustache forced my hand to get a full face mask. The Easy Breath 500 was so good. It didn't leak or mist up and couldn't believe how good snorkelling was in the Maldives. The fins were ok but so much shorter than what everybody else had. Perhaps it was because I wasn't used to using them but when swimming against the tide, I didn't seem to move anywhere quickly.

              spiffing

absolutely spiffing, easy use. takes some time to get used to and sometimes makes you a but dizzy when you take it off but otherwise fine.
