Fleece component: insulation thanks to air

The mission of the fleece component is to trap air thanks to the volume created by its texture (and the brushing of the knit). This air acts as a natural insulator, keeping the body warm.Tested in the laboratory, this fleece has a comfort temperature of 10 to 13°C without an additional jacket.

How is warmth measured?

This fleece jacket has been subject to thermal tests on its fleece fabric and in a climate chamber with a mannequin. These tests, which imitate conditions in the mountains, help us to verify our design choices.

Why use a breathable fabric?

While hiking, it's nothing amazing, it's even almost inevitable. So, so that this fleece doesn't turn into a sweat, its microgrid component enables better perspiration wicking at the back.

What is a ret index?

The breathability of a fabric is measured by its evaporative resistance RET (ISO 11092 standard): The lower it is, the more breathable the fabric. Examples: RET< 9 (very breathable), 9 < RET < 12 (breathable), RET > 20 (low breathability). This fleece displays a factor of 4.

A fabric that lets you move freely

For a pleasant hike, it is essential to provide optimal freedom of movement. Our fleece is made with stretch fabric that follows your movements. This gives you maximum comfort during practice.

A practical fleece that you can take anywhere

This fleece, both light and easy to compress, glides discreetly into your bag without taking up too much space. With its zip pockets, your personal belongings remain secure and easily accessible.

What sizes are available?

This fleece is available in a range of sizes, from S to 3 XL.

How you should care for this fleece

For maintaining your fleece, place it in the machine at 30°C on a synthetic cycle, inside out and with the pockets closed. Limit spin cycle at 1000 times/min to avoid damaging it. Tumble dry is not recommended to preserve the fabric quality.

Resistance tested?

We test the durability of our fleeces by checking :- the backpack's resistance to abrasion and arm movements in order to delay pilling, which is a feature of this material ;- The durability of the seams;- Durability after several washes;- Preserving colours (washing, UV, sweat).
