Protection from the sand

This boot features a built-in gaiter which prevents sand from getting inside. For better protection against sand, we recommend pairing this boot with the Desert 900 trousers.

Depending on the terrain, what type of boot would you recommend?

We designed this boot for sandy deserts (e.g. the erg in the Sahara). Indeed, the sole is very flexible, allowing your foot to roll through properly, which is ideal for walking on sand dunes. If you are trekking on hard rocky ground (for example the Erg of the Sahara), then we would recommend mountain trekking boots instead.

Why is it more breathable?

In the desert, there is no need for waterproof boots! However, most boots are waterproof thanks to a membrane that keeps the water out. Given that the desert boot doesn't have a membrane, it is naturally more breathable.

How to choose the size of your desert boot

In the desert, the feet tend to swell. So, do not hesitate to take one size up from your usual size to ensure a comfortable trek.

Kupiłem te buty na Saharę na którą dopiero się wybieram. Wstępnie przetestowałem w Polskich lasach. Te buty to najwygodniejsza rzecz jaką miałem na swoich stopach. niektórzy piszą że jakość ,wytrzymałość pozostawia wiele do życzenia. Nawet jak dla mnie wytrzymają jeden sezon to za te pieniądze są super wyborem. Wygląd obłędny i niesamowicie pasują do spodni dedykowanych na pustynię. Koszula również niesamowita z tej kolekcji a na rowerze wymiata bo kiedy pali słońce wiaterek wpada przez siateczkę i nas chłodzi. Ciekawe czy w tym roku wyjdą pustynne nowości na 2024 rok. Forclaz jest super firmą , tak samo jak Simond. Najlepsze jest to że kiedy kupujemy ubrania np. w dżunglę bądz pustynię, możemy je śmiało używać w swoim kraju. Pozdrawiam.

Super bequem, leider Sohle nicht haltbar

Der Schuh ist super bequem. Ich trage ihn bei der Arbeit im Gartencenter ganztags und er ist der einzige, bei dem meine Füße abends noch fit sind. Leider ist die Verarbeitung der Sohle nicht gut. Seitlich löst sie sich sehr schnell ab und an der Ferse ist der Abrieb enorm. Ich würde gerne mehr bezahlen, wenn ich den Schuh dafür länger als ein Jahr tragen könnte. Leider kann man ihn auch nicht nachbestellen. Ich hoffe, er wird weiterhin hergestellt.
