Choosing the right size men's gravel bike

You should choose the size of your bike based on your height, as well as your build (arm span and leg length). If you are between sizes, the smaller size will give you a more athletic position, while the larger size will give you a more comfortable position.XS 155 165 cmS 165 173M 173 182L 182 190XL 190 200You can try out a Triban 120 disc in the store, since the frame geometry is identical.

Bedding in brakes

You will need to bed these brakes in. Simply brake gradually 20 times at a low speed (20 km/h), then repeat at 30 km/h. Make sure to bed in both brakes. This creates better grip between the pad and disc.

Why choose a gravel bike rather than a road bike with fat tyres?

A gravel bike is not just a road bike with fat tyres. Even if it shares DNA with a road bike, gravel bikes have their own unique characteristics. On our GRVL 120 gravel bike, we have changed the frame of our RC120 disc by adjusting clearance (tyre space) for riding with a 700x38 tyre. It also has mechanical disc brakes. On this gravel bike, we also used our tubeless gravel wheels in 23c, and a single chainring drive train.

Gravel bike

Very easy to ride, gears are easy to find and operate. Great brakes. Great value for money bike

A great bike

For the price this bike seems to be excellent value.

Awful after 6 months

Tyres are awful, thinner than a rizzla and punctures every odd ride. Its a cheaply built bike, the parts will fail after 1000 miles, 6 months of commuting for me. The brakes are dangerous if you are riding on busy roads. The shifters are poor and the derailleur has had to be replaced less than 10 months of use. I wish I would have spent more on a better equipped bike after all of the issues. I've spent upwards of £300 in 10 months replacing the parts Could do with an extra cog for decent as you will bottom out at 25mph ish. Also the shifter drops it from top gear right down to bottom gear in one switch meaning I have to drop gears and then work my way back up to the correct gear which is frustrating
